All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with Title 5 of the Education Code, agency policies, and department standards. General Responsibilities 1. Determine eligibility, process enrollment and complete initial certification of families qualified for subsidized childcare within designated timeframes, as required. 2. Accurately enter family data into Center Track system. 3. Schedule and conduct timely initial interviews to facilitate parents’ enrollment or continuation in the program. 4. Authorize family for childcare services per agency policies and timelines. 5. Maintain regular follow-up of all open items. 6. Program Description Inland Empire United Way’s Community Programs Department develops, implements and manages programs meeting IEUW’s community impact goals in the areas of education, health and financial stability. This work is accomplished through United Way-managed programs provided in partnership with local companies, schools, community organizations and volunteers as well as through an annual competitive grant-making process to local community partners. Program Description The goal of United Way’s 211 San Bernardino County program is to improve lives by facilitating access to needed services. Operating a free, easy–to-access information line and website 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 211 is the County’s leader in quality health and social service information management. Position Overview IEUW has obtained grant funding dedicated to the purpose of expanding the capacity of 211 to include employment navigation specialization for callers with whom such intense personal assistance may yield improved levels of income. The successful candidate must be a high performing self-starter who can balance research and data entry with relationship building and direct client connection. The 211 Employment Navigator, reporting directly to the 211 Operations Manager, is responsible for coordinating the 211 Employment Navigation project activities. This full-time regular, non-exempt position is funded for one year at 32 hours per week and carries the possibility that it may be expanded to 40 hours per week and extended if further funding is obtained. No contract is implied; this position is “at-will” and employment may be terminated at any time by the employee or the employer. The availability of grant funds does not guarantee continued employment.
