RESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR (Part-time/ Non-Exempt/ No Benefits) DEFINITION: Under supervision of the Community Operations Manager, the Resident Services Coordinator will assist with the coordination, marketing and implementation of programs, events and services designed to improve quality of life for residents of Augusta’s mobilehome parks. Components include promoting social welfare through community-based activities, academic enrichment, healthy living and positive resident relations throughout all parks. Work schedule cannot exceed 24 hours per week and hours are flexible; but may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Employees must have the ability to: • assist in organizing activities relating to assigned programs • assist in monitoring program compliance with laws, rules, and regulations • help coordinate various youth programs such as youth summer camp and afterschool homework club, including planning, organizing and implementing curriculum, monitoring participant progress, and volunteer recruitment and training • address residents through correspondence, outreach, surveys, and community meetings • distribute, monitor and maintain program supplies, equipment, and inventory • provide support with event logistics, marketing, coordination, setup, breakdown and analysis • draft and upload web posts to Augusta’s website and social networks • document programs by taking notes, photos, video, administering surveys, and collecting data • draft, proof, edit and distribute memos, emails, letters and reports • collect and enter data for departmental records and management reports • assist in providing solutions to resident complaints, concerns and requests • perform any other task or function deemed necessary to the daily operation of the employer
 
The superior candidate for this position would have the following characteristics: • a passion to provide outstanding customer service • genuine interest in community building • experience in arts and culture • interest in working with people of all ages and backgrounds • strong written and verbal communication skills • ability to adjust to varying work environments, switch gears and “go with the flow” • the ability to focus and be productive in a casual, open work-space environment • the ability to listen, take directions and constructive critique • sense of humor, open-minded with a professional demeanor • experience in the use of all office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, Publisher • bi-lingual skills in Spanish desirable THE ABOVE LIST OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE AND MAY BE SUPPLEMENTED AS NECESSARY BY THE EMPLOYER. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Prefer one (1) year - experience in public service, social services, education, special events, the arts and customer service or a closely related field. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS: Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and basic first aid certifications. A valid CA driver’s license and current automotive insurance is required. LiveScan clearance and background check required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Positions requires prolonged standing, sitting, walking on level or unleveled and slippery surfaces, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, grasping and making repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties. Incumbents may be required to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing 25 pounds or more. This position requires near and far vision for reading written documents and in the observation of participants during activities. Acute hearing is also required in providing customer service to public and /or assistance in facility, classroom, or outdoors.
