Jim Weaver - JW NonProfit Advisors

The Mission of Jim Weaver and JW NonProfit Advisors is to listen attentively to the needs of NonProfit leaders and organizations and, in response, provide them with effective counsel that will enable them to achieve their mission and goals. Jim's wide range of experience has included serving as the Executive Director of a variety of organizations and a Board Member of many. As an Executive Director he has developed strong Boards, managed multiple staff personnel, met challenging budgets with creative fundraising, and led effective teams of volunteers who have contributed formidably to organizational success.
As a Board Member, Jim has contributed with depth and breadth to the growth and effectiveness of the organizations he has helped to govern, as well as to the development of the Boards themselves.
Jim is now sharing his experience and expertise with nonprofits who are facing fresh challenges and who wish to move their organizations to new levels.
Jim currently consults for a wide range of non-profit organizations, including arts and cultural organizations, a hospital foundation, churches, a drug and alcohol addiction recovery facility, a fair housing mediation board, a volunteer medical clinic, a retirement community, and various social service organizations.
Jim is also a 15-year member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), currently participating in both the Inland Empire and Desert Communities Chapters in Southern California, after having been in the Los Angeles Chapter for 13 years, including a 3-year term on their Board of Directors. He currently serves on the Board of the Desert Communities AFP Chapter. He is also a 30-year member of Kiwanis International, including 15 years in the Upland Foothill Kiwanis Club in which he is currently a member.
Jim has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including: Public Benefit Flying Executive of the Year, awarded by Air Care Alliance; Kiwanis President of the Year, awarded by Division 15 of California/Nevada/Hawaii District of Kiwanis; Service and Nurturing Force Award, awarded by Angel Flight America; Crystal Vision Community Hero Award, awarded by Boeing Corporation of Southern California; and the Visionary Award, awarded by Angel Flight America.
Jim and Pati, his wife of 49 years, have resided in Upland, California, for 31 years. They have two children, Brent and Brenda, and two granddaughters, Ady (8) and Maisy (5), all of whom live in Southern California.
