Nexus Consulting

Our Goal:
We work collaboratively with you to design and implement a program evaluation that empowers you to make effective and more informed decisions.

Who We Are:
Nexus Consulting is owned and operated by Michael T. Matthews, Ph.D. Having worked with nonprofit organizations since 1998, Michael is acutely aware of the challenges and complexities involved in collecting data from programs, clients, and staff in a non-profit environment. Consulting projects have ranged from evaluating health education and disease prevention programs to conducting needs assessments for use in developing a strategic plan.

Program areas have included substance use prevention, anti-human trafficking, disease prevention education (e.g., diabetes, heart disease), health promotion (e.g., oral health, nutrition), teen pregnancy prevention, juvenile delinquency and workforce development, to name just a few. We are based in California but accept contracts nationwide.

Our Services:
Nexus Consulting provides services in program evaluation; needs assessments; and data management and analysis.

We utilize a variety of techniques and methodologies -- both quantitative and qualitative -- to help you better understand and improve what you do. For example, we can help you:
• Assess the strengths and weaknesses of your services
• Determine if your services are having a positive impact
• Identify what (and where) services are needed in your service area
• Manage and report client data more efficiently
• Discover if your clients are satisfied with your services
• Meet your funding requirements

Michael brings with him extensive experience collecting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, focus groups, interviews, and participant observations.

Nexus Consulting has worked with nonprofit agencies in the Inland Empire since 1998.
