About Us

The Inland Empire's Nonprofit Resource Directory is a collaborative project of local funders, nonprofits and capacity builders. The United Ways of San Bernardino & Riverside Counties developed and manage the site in partnership with the San Bernardino County Capacity Building Consortium and the Funders Alliance of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
This site is designed to provide a centralized hub for nonprofit resources throughout the Inland Empire, including areas of San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties.

What's In A Name?

ieCapaciteria is derived from the combination of capacity and cafeteria – reflecting the variety of capacity building resources available on this site. The name was inspired by the first national collection of peer reviewed nonprofit capacity links, Capaciteria.org. Capaciteria.org was developed in 2004 by Jonathan Peizer, the Principal of Internaut Consulting (http://internautconsulting.org) which provide strategic, programmatic, technology and grant support to nonprofits and foundations. In 2012, Capaciteria and Ideaencore.com both partnered with 4Good.org to further aggregate nonprofit capacity resources (both programmatic and administrative content and links). The combined aggregated resources come from across the nation as well as a few useful global resources, and are still available through Capaciteria.org.
